Welcome to the Independent Insurance Agents of Omaha
IIAO is the Omaha Chapter of The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) -- a national alliance of 300,000 business owners and their employees who offer all types of insurance and financial services products.
We have approximately 150 individual members representing several independent insurance agencies in the Omaha area. Unlike company-employed agents, independent insurance agents and insurance brokers represent more than one insurance company, so they can offer clients a wider choice of auto, home, business, life and health coverages as well as retirement and employee-benefit products.
IIAO provides a series of high-quality educational luncheon programs designed to help meet your continuing education requirements. Membership in IIAO entitles you to a minimum of six free CEUs each year. Seven luncheon meetings are held each year, in September and November thru April. All of our luncheon meetings are held at the elegant Champions Run Country Club, located at 13800 Eagle Run Drive.
Attending our luncheon meetings and other functions provides you with the chance to share ideas and learn from some of Omaha's most outstanding insurance leaders. In addition to our series of lunches, we also sponsor a holiday party in December and a golf outing in the spring.
We strive to increase our members' visibility and enhance the insurance industry's image through community service. Some of our community service programs in previous years have included:
|* Arson Awareness Campaign
||* Catastrophe Preparedness
||* ...and much more!|
|* Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program (DARE)
||* Scholarship Program
IIAO encourages the highest standards and endeavors to foster public trust. This is probably the most essential of all of our goals in combating the adverse factors of today's business climate.
Join IIAO today!
Joining is easy and offers a wealth of benefits.
Membership in the Independent Insurance Agents of Omaha does NOT include membership in the IIA state and national associations.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are requesting membership under the "Regular" membership classification, your agency MUST first be a member at the State and National levels!
